Campbell Park Elementary

Welcome back!

You've traveled about halfway down Booker Creek—from the headwaters, through downtown, and past Tropicana Field—but there's still a lot more to see!

Before we move on, let's check on the conditions at Booker Creek right here behind Campbell Park Elementary.  As you may know, scientists built an environmental monitoring station on the creek that lets us see information about the water and weather—right as it's happening!

The station provides us with important data about Booker Creek's water quality, including the pH and dissolved oxygen levels. The survival of plants and animals in the creek depends on these levels staying within certain ranges. That's why it's so important for "Watershed Watchers" like you to closely monitor the health of the creek!
