USF Students Beautify Coastal Parkland
A parcel of property known as the Wall Springs Coastal Addition IV adjacent to Wall Springs Park is much cleaner after nearly 375 University of South Florida student volunteers filled a 30-yard dumpster to overflowing Jan. 15.
This event was a cooperative event between Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources, Volunteer Services, the University of South Florida and Tampa Bay Beautification.
The students arrived on seven charter buses and worked cleaning up huge amounts of debris from the property. This included about 70 tires, discarded furniture, plastic pails, hoses, chain link fence, wood, concrete, bottles and other general debris.
