Pinellas County Public Works department wins four awards
The Pinellas County Public Works Department has been honored by its peers in four categories for its outstanding service to citizens in 2017. Department leaders were invited to the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, June 5 and recognized for the following accomplishments:

Innovation in a Time of Crisis – APWA West Coast Chapter Management Innovation Award and Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council Community Preparedness Award

Lealman Sidewalk Project – APWA West Coast Chapter Project of the Year – Transportation Award

Pinellas Trail Coast-to-Coast Connector – APWA West Coast Chapter Project of the Year – Mobility Award and American Planning Association Florida Chapter Sun Coast Design Award

Rahim Harji – APWA West Coast Chapter Public Works Director of the Year
Combined, the honors received by Public Works reflect the department’s commitment to providing first-class services to the citizens of Pinellas County.
