South County reclaimed water supply available over weekend

Pinellas County Utilities has restored the South County reclaimed water supply today for customers to utilize through the weekend. Repair work on the 36-inch reclaimed water pipeline that crosses Boca Ciega Bay alongside the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail will resume on Monday, Sept. 24 and the supply will be taken offline to finish the repair.

The trail bridge, which runs along the north side of Bay Pines Boulevard, has been closed to residents since Sept. 10 and will remain closed until the repairs are completed. Trail users can obtain a map at the closure locations to help them find an alternate route, but there is no formal detour.

County staff hope to have the repairs completed by Sept. 25.
